Systems thinking

Much of the current thinking about eduction is inspired by systems thinking. I am going to suggest that a key idea to be aware of is the difference between thinking systemically and thinking about systems. As an opening thought lets take the example of Gregory Bateson who said that at times he simply could not undersatnd the thinking of people around him.
